Musée de la Mangrove

Located near Chinon, the Château du Rivau, built in 1420, was brought as a dowry by Anne de Fontenay during her marriage to Pierre de Beauvau, Grand Chamberlain of Charles VII. This medieval fortress reveals an enchanting world: its ancient architecture, Gothic interiors, stables and romantic gardens offer a captivating experience to its visitors. In 1918, it was classified as a Historic Monument in France.
The Audiopen is offered to visitors accompanied by a paper map showing the route of the castle, its surrounding gardens and the main points of interest. When a visitor points the Audiopen at a coded area (image), an audio commentary is instantly triggered. Thus, visitors can discover the castle and its gardens at their own pace, walking freely.
