Fontinettes boat lift (Saint-Omer, Pas-de-Calais, France)

Since mid-September, the Sycamore S-Guide accompanied by audio production in 3 languages ​​has offered a fully automatic immersive tour of the industrial flagship now transformed into a Museum and recently renovated.

Commissioned in 1888, the audio-guided tour is based on the fictional testimony of the elevator keeper and accompanies visitors through the industrial world of the 19th and 20th centuries.

The visit, completely hands-free thanks to the S-Guide headset, combined with sound effects immerses visitors in the operating atmosphere of the elevator, now stopped and replaced by a lock in 1967.

The visit is completed by an interpretation center housed in a barge in one of the elevator ferries.
