A key site of Second World War remembrance, the Montormel Memorial recounts the decisive battle of the Falaise-Chambois pocket, a turning point in the liberation of France. To mark the anniversary of D-Day, the site modernised its scenography and integrated the Sycomore S-Guide: an automatic audioguide headset that accompanies visitors throughout the tour.

With hands-free triggering, each visitor receives fluid, synchronised narration, including during the 20-minute introductory film. Sound effects, testimonies, and immersive commentary bring the intensity of the combat and strategic decisions back to life.
