WorldSkills France 2025: Two exceptional days with Sycomore Vox

10 November 2025

An immersion in the trades of the future

On October 16 and 17, Sycomore Vox participated in the 48th edition of the National Skills Competition, organised by WorldSkills France. Over two days, the team guided groups of students through trade discovery using VDR guided tour technology.

Held in Marseille, the event brought together more than 800 young competitors in fields ranging from carpentry and cybersecurity to cooking, hairdressing, and mechatronics. The competition is a key event for promoting youth, excellence, training, and professional skills in France.

An ambitious organisation by WorldSkills France

The National Skills Competition is more than a contest. It is a launchpad for hundreds of young people engaged in apprenticeships, technical, or vocational studies. The 2025 edition stood out for its ambition, scale, and ability to unite students, teachers, families, institutions, and partners around a shared goal: revealing the skills that will shape the future.

In this context, Sycomore Vox provided technical support to streamline group visits, improve information delivery, and simplify logistics.

The VDR system: technology serving discovery

For this edition, the team deployed the VDR tour solution, a system designed for clarity and fluidity during guided tours. Key figures and features:

The system ensured an immersive, quiet experience without disruption, even in high-traffic and competition areas.

Technical performance matching the event's scale

The VDR system demonstrated strong technical performance throughout the two-day event. Its extended battery life, clear sound quality, stable signal, and compatibility with the noisy exhibition hall environment were acknowledged by both organisers and users.

Groups stayed connected to their guide at all times, even when individual participants moved slightly away. This allowed continuous, clear information flow.

For supervisors, the vocal comfort is a practical advantage: no need to raise their voice, even in large, noisy spaces. This improves the management of large groups while ensuring a structured, smooth tour.

The VDR system contributed to optimising visitor flow, reinforcing safety during movement, and increasing engagement among the young participants, who were fully immersed in their trade discovery.

A productive partnership for the future of training

This involvement confirms the importance of technology in education. By enabling better understanding of trades, more efficient information delivery, and simplified logistics, the Sycomore Vox VDR system proves its value for events with an educational focus.

We are proud to have contributed to the promotion of trades, youth, and vocational training, and we commend the WorldSkills France organisation for delivering an exemplary edition.

Conclusion

By supporting nearly 1,000 young people in their trade discovery with VDR technology, Sycomore Vox played a central role in the success of the 2025 National Skills Competition. These two intense days confirmed the practical value of technology in learning and reinforced our commitment to supporting initiatives that shape the professional future of young people.
