New autumn exhibitions: audioguided immersion for all audiences
18 November 2025
In autumn 2025, the French cultural scene presents two exceptional exhibitions. Sycomore Vox contributed audioguided tours designed for all audiences. Whether your interest lies in history, modern art, family outings, or international travel, these exhibitions offer a new way to engage with heritage and creation. Below is an overview of each exhibition and how our audio tours bring them to life.
Exhibition overview
The Grand Dauphin -- son of a king, father of a king, and never king (October 14, 2025 -- February 15, 2026, Chateau de Versailles)
At the Chateau de Versailles, this exhibition is devoted to Louis de France, known as the Grand Dauphin (1661-1711), son of the Sun King and heir to the French throne who never acceded to it. The exhibition examines his political role, his taste for art, his collections, his patronage, and his paradoxical destiny summed up by the phrase: "son of a king, father of a king, and never king." Visitors can explore nearly 250 works from French and international collections, covering his education, court life, and significance within the Bourbon dynasty.
A Collector's Eye -- The Oscar Ghez Collection (November 7, 2025 -- March 22, 2026, Hotel de Caumont -- Centre d'art)
In Aix-en-Provence, the Hotel de Caumont opens its doors to the world of visionary collector Oscar Ghez (1905-1998). The exhibition brings together nearly sixty masterpieces of French painting from the late 19th to early 20th century, illustrating the collector's taste and sensibility. The exhibition invites visitors to understand not only the works but also the collector's perspective, motivations, and how he shaped a personal and bold collection.
Audioguides and visitor tours
At Sycomore Vox, we believe an exhibition visit goes beyond looking -- it should involve listening and participating. That is why we designed multilingual audioguided tours.
- For "The Grand Dauphin..." exhibition, we produced an audioguide in French, English, and Spanish.
- A young audience trail, in French and English, accompanies children through the exhibition: artworks "speak," play the role of investigators, and invite young visitors to find clues proving that the Grand Dauphin should have become king.
- For adults, two voices (female and male) bring variety to the commentary on classical works, royal family portraits, scientific objects from the Dauphin's education, and collector's items.
- For "A Collector's Eye...," we designed an audioguide tour in French and English, centred on the relationship between Oscar Ghez and his works: each commentary evokes the choice of artwork, the collector's emotion, the era, and how the collection fits into a personal trajectory.
These tours improve accessibility: multilingual for international visitors, playful for families, and enriching for art and history enthusiasts. They add context, narration, and interaction to the visit.
Why visit these exhibitions this autumn?
- For history and heritage enthusiasts: The Grand Dauphin exhibition rehabilitates an often-overlooked figure, with an immersive approach to the fate of an heir without a throne.
- For modern art and collecting enthusiasts: The Oscar Ghez exhibition reveals not only the artists but the eye of a collector who anticipated trends and invested in modernity.
- For families and children: The young audience trail at Versailles allows children to participate actively; the audioguide makes the cultural outing interactive and accessible.
- For international visitors: Multiple languages (French, English, Spanish) ensure everyone can benefit fully.
- For an immersive experience: Today, an exhibition visit goes beyond observation; it becomes a guided, interactive sensory experience -- which is what Sycomore Vox delivers.
