Saint Maurice Abbey
Saint Maurice Abbey, the oldest surviving abbey in the West, welcomes pilgrims and visitors from all over the world. Mindful of the immense significance of its historical and cultural heritage, the abbey graciously opened its doors to the public. Nevertheless, it encountered obstacles along the way, including the challenge of installing educational panels near points of interest and seeking a suitable guiding device that could effectively convey the abbey's rich history to visitors of all ages and nationalities.
To overcome these challenges, the abbey has implemented three distinct guiding systems. The first is the Audiopass audioguide, which is conveniently provided to visitors as part of their admission ticket. This user-friendly device directs visitors to the different points of interest, allowing them to enjoy the commentary at their preferred pace. Additionally, the Audiopen offers an interactive quiz trail, featuring captivating anecdotes shared by historical figures. Furthermore, the abbey has equipped its guides with group guiding systems, enabling visitors to delight in the guide's narration while having the freedom to explore the site at a slight distance from the group.
