To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the MUCEM (Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations) is presenting a major exhibition entitled “Popular?”, running from 13 December 2023 to 31 December 2026. It brings together works from the former Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions, the European collections of the Musée de l’Homme, and recent acquisitions from the MUCEM, to explore popular cultures in the Mediterranean.
To offer full immersion, the MUCEM relies on Sycomore-Vox’s innovative guiding system. Visitors use the S-Guide, semi-open headset audioguides unique on the market: they deliver synchronized, spatialized high-quality sound while allowing awareness of surroundings. A 360° immersive room provides a visual and sound journey through environmental stories.
For young audiences, the Audiopen transforms the visit into a fun adventure: children help the character Phil recover his emotions by exploring the exhibition and identifying nine objects using the interactive pen.
By combining innovative audio experience, visual immersion, and playful interaction, Sycomore tools make the visit accessible and engaging for all, confirming the MUCEM’s commitment to connecting technology, heritage, and visitors of all ages.
