24 Hours In The Life Of A Woman: An Immersive And Committed Exhibition In Bordeaux
The exhibition-show 24 hours in the life of a woman , organized by the Ars Anima company, offers a unique immersion in the lives of six women with remarkable journeys. Presented from October 1 to November 6 , 2022 at Cap Sciences in Bordeaux , this experience captivated visitors with its scenographic, interactive and committed approach.
An Immersion in the Diversity of Women’s Stories
The exhibition immerses visitors in the lives of six women from different continents: Abi, Aouda, Shayda, Juanita, Vandana and Marie. Through their stories, each journey highlights the daily challenges they face and the choices they make to defend gender equality and improve the status of women in their respective regions.
Visitors are invited to follow the story of one of these women, guided by her voice in a scenographic, animated and illuminated journey. This interactive journey, lasting about an hour, combines sounds, lights and direct interactions with actors. It is not only about observing, but also feeling, thinking, and sometimes even engaging on important societal issues.
An ambitious educational and societal project
The central objective of the exhibition is to raise awareness among the public, particularly young people, of the persistent inequalities between women and men. By highlighting concrete examples and real-life stories, 24 Hours in the Life of a Woman contributes to strengthening understanding of equality issues and encouraging concrete actions for a more equitable world.
The project is aimed specifically at an audience aged 9 to 18 , using accessible but profound stories to open dialogue on topics such as:
- Gender stereotypes.
- Women’s rights around the world.
- Personal choices and their societal impact.
Thanks to the support of numerous institutions, such as the French Development Agency (AFD) and the Ministry responsible for Equality between Women and Men, the exhibition benefits from legitimacy and significant scope.
An Interactive Approach Through Scenography and Human Mediation
One of the key elements of this exhibition is the constant interaction between visitors and the actors present throughout the tour. The latter embody characters or play roles that enrich the narrative experience, bringing the stories to life and arousing emotions.
Each staged space is designed to fully immerse participants, thanks to lighting and sound creation perfectly synchronized with the stories. This multi-sensory approach makes the experience particularly memorable and engaging.
The Contribution of the S-Guide: A Technology at the Service of Emotion
To enhance audio immersion, Sycomore provided 140 S-Guide headsets to the exhibition. These devices allow visitors to alternate between stories told and direct interactions with the actors, while remaining in perfect synchronization with the scenographic environment.
The S-Guide, interfaced with the show’s control system, offers a fluid and immersive experience, where the stories are seamlessly integrated into the transitions between spaces. Although discreet, this tool plays a key role in enhancing the stories presented, allowing visitors to fully focus on the messages and emotions conveyed.

A Collective Commitment to Change
In parallel with the exhibition, conferences, workshops, debates and performances were organized to explore the themes addressed in more depth. These initiatives mobilized local and international associations, reinforcing the central message of the exhibition: the importance of collaboration to overcome inequalities.
Among the partners involved, NGOs such as Care France , UNICEF and SOS Méditerranée have provided their expertise on issues related to gender equality and human rights. This collaborative ecosystem demonstrates Ars Anima’s desire to place its project in a dynamic of sustainable impact.
An Exhibition That Leaves a Mark
24 Hours in the Life of a Woman is not an ordinary exhibition: it is an experience that challenges, educates and inspires. By mixing art, pedagogy and technology, it encourages visitors to reflect on their role in building a more just and equal society.
With poignant stories, immersive scenography and high-quality human mediation, this exhibition stands out as a major artistic and social initiative. For those who were lucky enough to participate, 24 Hours in the Life of a Woman will remain an unforgettable life lesson.
